Short but sweet fusion rock-bellydance, suitable for all levels of bellydancers who have at least some dance experience. You are invited to perform this number with Shahzaadee at the hafla.

**Costume consideration-plan to wear as much white as you can, bellydance gear or 1950's wear=Elvis-style jumpsuit, poodle skirt, peddle pushers, tight fuzzy sweaters, neck scarf, ponytails, etc.

The drumming class for TRUE beginners with HiyaSahra. Have you desired to play hand drums but were afraid to start?? If you have very little to no experience in hand drumming this is the BASIC beginnings of hand drumming bellydance rhythms. No pressure, just fun! You will need to bring a tabla, djembe, or other goblet-shaped drum. We do have a few loaners, if you don't have access to a drum, ask that one be set aside for you.

Have you always wanted to learn how to play finger cymbals, or have you taken a class but are afraid to play them in public? Haala's workshop will give you confidence with simple drills and combinations, tips and tricks to add variety and drama to your performance, and will guide you in how to perform with a live band. This workshop will be appropriate for all levels of dancers.

After Haala’s workshop, you are invited to a nearby restaurant to dine or just socialize before doors open at 7pm for the hafla.
