What a great time at Festival of Legends. Unfortunately, the weather did not want to cooperate and it was rainy and very cold, but we still had a great time.

The Festival of Legends is a celebration of the mythic arts and the magic of life itself. It is a playground for the imagination – for children as well as adults – and an escape from the mundane world. It is a journey to the romantic by-gone eras that never were, and an exploration of the fantastical realms that have always been. The natives are magicians and musicians, acrobats and comedians, artists and crafters, proud knights and fairytale creatures. Step into the Festival of Legends, and step into a place of wonder.

**We will be set up in the center court…directly in front of Amir Jewelers and near the food court. It’s a big square carpet area and Santa’s chair will be there.
It will feel like an Island Holiday! Festivities begin at 5pm. Polynesian dance show to entertain you starts at 6:15pm. Meet the nicest mermaids in the Triangle, bring your own camera and pose with them before they swim away! Even Santa is rumored to be there!
A perfect outing to jumpstart your holiday spirit by enjoying the festivities and donating to the Raleigh Rescue Mission while you are there.
This event is part of a bigger radio-thon to raise money to assist those in need in our area. Bring the whole family for island-style holiday fun and support this worthy cause.

Durham Mardi Gras Parade
Shelley Opearls will be making an appearance at the family friendly Durham Mardi Gras on Tuesday, March 4th at 7pm (get there earlier so you don’t miss anything). Shelley will be joined by some of her NC Merfolk friends and her Eclectic Adventure friends.

The Third Annual Festival of Legends will be returning to Storybook Farm, Chapel Hill, April 26th and 27th of 2014! This will be a family-friendly event that will host a variety of different entertainers (musicians, magicians, jugglers, acrobats, comedians, dancers, fairies, mermaids, ect.) and artists selling their wares. Themes of the event include mythology, folklore, fairy tales and fantasy. The event is open to the public with paid admission (Adults-$15 Child-$8).
Shelley OPearls and Mermaid Amara will be making several appearances throughout the weekend. Spread the word, and we can’t wait to see everyone there!
